Sir
Sub: Indiscipline Among Students
Schools and colleges were once thought to be the temples of learning. Students used to go there to learn the good things in life. They pursued their studies seriously and whole-heartedly. But the present-day students have profaned the sanctity of these temples. They have defiled their atmosphere. Schools and colleges have now become hotbeds of indiscipline. Students indulge in acts of violence and indiscipline. Politics has become a plaything for them. They take part in politics without knowing what they are driving at.
Corrupt and unscrupulous politicians are the root-cause of indiscipline in our educational institutions. They lead the innocent students astray in order to gain their selfish ends. They instigate the students to create problems of law and order. Most of the strikes in our schools and colleges are the acts of hired hooligans.
It is the duty of teachers and parents to keep the students on the right path if the nation is to be saved.
Yours truly
Rahul

Sir,
Subject: Pressure on Students in Competitive Environment
Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards Pressure on Students in Competitive Environment. The world today is full of fierce competition. The competition begins from the cradle and ends in the grave. Obviously, students are made to work extremely hard to stand equal to the competition, the environment offers them.
The hectic work/study schedule accompanied by a tense state of mind results in a stressed life where there is no place for relaxation or recreation. Outdoor sporting activities and hobbies are hopelessly sacrificed. The pressure of being in a competitive race causes a lot of stress on young minds. This stress is often manifested in anger, irritation and sometimes even violent behaviour on the part of the students.
It is high time that some ways and means must be adopted to lessen the level of stress encountered by them. They should indulge in games, sports, yoga, etc to combat stress. Educationists and policymakers must bring out a pro-child policy. This will surely calm their nerves and refresh them better to cope with the usual inevitable pressure.
Yours sincerely
Nikhil Tandon

Sir,
Subject: Benefits of “Art of Living for Students”
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to express my views on the benefits of Art of Living for students. I happened to attend the workshop organized by my school’s yoga club. The programme proved to be very beneficial. This programme teaches us time management techniques, coping with our academic pressure. We, students, face lots of problems in handling the stress caused by the increasingly competitive world.
The programme helps to handle the stress without affecting one’s health. It also teaches emotional and social skills, the skills to deal with relations and people. Besides these, the programme proves to be very effective in developing a healthy attitude towards life. Students are not careful about their eating habits, their health. This programme leads them to the right path giving them a healthy mind in a healthy body.
I would suggest every student attend such workshops at least once in their lifetime as it will result in a meaningful life.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely
Varun.

Sir,
Subject: Importance of discipline in life
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to focus attention on the fading importance of disciplined life among the youth of today. I feel that discipline is a life-long learning process.
Till we live with our parents we do not have total control over our lifestyle. The real training starts when people are young since that is when they gain the freedom to live their life in their way. Even nature and all the life-processes follow discipline for their smooth running.
Otherwise, the lack of systematic and controlled behaviour will lead to total chaos. Similarly, we need to follow a timetable where we can practice all the important aspects of human life. Parental counselling and constant motivation may help youngsters adopt discipline in their lives. Thus, we can say that self-discipline is the stepping towards success.
Yours truly,
Preeti/Peeyush

Sir
Subject: Pressure faced by adolescents
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to raise the issue of pressures faced by adolescents. In the absence of proper counseling, an adolescent is likely to take to crime, start drinking, get involved in fights, enter the world of drug trafficking, or get engaged in verbal, physical, or sexual abuse. Crime by young people has become rampant in metropolitan cities. The adolescents are thrown into the criminal world at a tender age being oblivious to the path of being a criminal.
Secondly, kids who start drinking before the age of 21 are more likely to be involved in fights, commit crimes, use drugs, and engage in verbal, physical, or sexual violence. The youth of today are technical and are deprived of the fun they can have in playing football on the actual ground than on a FIFA game, play station. It leads to obesity, the root cause of many medical problems.
These issues can be handled with the combined efforts of parents, society, and social organizations. Moreover, the police and other law enforcing agencies should reach these adolescents and counsel them properly.
Yours faithfully
Nitin
