A Railway Station
A railway station is a world in itself. Like life, it presents different scenes at different times. At times the scene is full of great activity; at times it is comparatively calm. Quiet and even deserted. Last Sunday I got an opportunity to see off my cousin at the railway station. There was a great rush at the booking window. Everybody was impatient to get the ticket. Even the so-called educated people also behaved like illiterate people. The platform, against our expectations, was a scene of hectic activity, hustle and bustle. It seemed as if the whole of the city had come to the railway station. They seemed to be busy in conversation but actually, they were anxiously waiting for the train. Thank God! The from was in sight. Now a strange fire was added to the excitement of the people. But the train swallowed almost all the passengers. In a few seconds, the platform presented a sad and deserted look.
