Once the villagers in a certain villager hired a boy to guard the sheep. The boy has explained his duties. He was also told to shout “Wolf! Wolf’ whenever a wolf came. The boy understands his work which was very dull and monotonous. All the seven days of the week he had to do nothing but sit and watch around. One day, to break the monotony, the boy shouted “Wolf’. Soon villagers came running from all around. On reaching there, they found the boy rolling with laughter and making fun of them. That made them very angry, yet the boy repeated this trick again and again. At last, villagers stopped responding to his calls. Then one day a wolf really came. It attacked and killed several sheep. The boy kept shouting “Wolf! Wolf!!” but no one responded to his call.
