Subject Hike in DTC Fares and CNG Crisis
Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities and common masses towards Hike in DTC Fares and CNG Crisis. This is to bring to your kind notice, the woes of the Delhiites on account of the recent hike in DTC fares and the CNG crisis.
Every day thousands of people, including a large number of daily wage earners, travel by the DTC to reach different destinations. So far, it had been the most convenient and cheap mode of travel for everybody. However, the sudden hike in the fares has made a hole in everybody’s pocket.
Since, the government’s decision to switch over to the CNG as a transport fuel, the troubles of people have increased manifold. The hike in the cost of CNG delayed buses and the frequent strikes have made the life of the people miserable. The authorities must look into the matter seriously and find means to better manage the transport system; otherwise, the life in the capital city will come to a major halt.
