My dear Shakuntala,

It will give you utmost pleasure to learn that we, a party of 10 friends, have chalked out a programme to visit Agra and Fatehpur Sikri. We wish to include you, too, on this educational tour.

It is a golden chance. Such educational trips are not arranged every-day. They always come but once in a blue moon. You very well know the importance of these places. They are historical. The History of the Mughal period begins and ends with these places. The Greatest of the Mughals, Akbar built Agra Fort. He raised a beautiful city of Fatehpur Sikri out of sand dunes. Who can miss a visit to the Taj Mahal? It is one of the Eighth Wonders of the World. If the English had the ways and means of wheeling it away to London, they would definitely have taken it with them. This is a marble in a dream. Millions of tourists have witnessed this building of immortal love of Shah Jahan and his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal. It appears not to be the work of human hands. The angelic figures trust has descended, built and completed it. This is the impression of every visitor. Whatever we have read so far in History books is going to come alive with all its pristine beauty during this outing (excursion).

On our way back we shall stay for a couple of days in the cities of Mathura and Brindavan, the places connected with the life of Lord Krishna. These places are expressly holy to we Hindus. Here the temples are a beautiful specimen of art and architecture. We will board the Taj Express in the morning of this Friday, 2nd February 1990. We have already booked your berth with the belief that you will not decline this handsome offer. Please wire me when you are reaching my place. Please do come.

With love.

Yours Sincerely,
