My dear Ashok,

Yesterday in the playground I quarreled with you for nothing. It was my high-handedness. I misbehaved with you by mistake. I was at fault; still, I spoke nonsense to you. I do not know what had happened to me. I went on crying and yelling. I kept my false prestige. I should have not cracked such a pinching and piercing joke with you. Where had my wisdom gone then?

It was I, who took the initiative. It was I who began the quarrel. Deepak and Ravi sided with me wrong. I had no right to insult you. After all, we are very good friends. We should have not abused each other just over Ville. It is said that it is better to lose a jest than lose a friend. And a friend like you is very rare. You always stand by me in my weal and woe.

I sincerely regret the blunder committed by me. I am cursing the moment when I spoke a filthy language to you. I apologise from you. I am even ready to say sorry in the presence of the friends who were all with us yesterday.

Now I have realized my mistake. And it is never too late to mend oneself. I am ready to atone. Whatever the punishment you may deem fit for me, I shall accept it gladly. I shall not grudge or grumble. I am guilty. I hope as a good and great friend you will forgive me. I know you are open-minded and large-hearted. You treat me as your younger brother. Please excuse me. Apologising once again.

Yours sincerely,

Sneh
