My dear Umesh,

I have just got the news of demise (death) of your dear mother. It is a bolt from the blue. She was quite hale and hearty. She was only fifty.

God’s ways are mysterious. To whom He loves, they die young.

Otherwise, fifty is no age for death. She/he, who is much in want them, is wanted there, too. No one knows where one goes. We all are helpless before the will of the Lord. He decides for us, is the right recourse, perhaps. No one can question His will. We stand dumb and mute.

I have read your letter many a time, but I cannot believe this bad news. Was it to be untrue?

Your mother loved me like her own son. She treated me with full motherly affection. My heart is weeping bitterly. Tears do not cease (stop). I myself do not know what to do in this hour of trouble.

I fully sympathise with you in this personal loss. You had lost your father when you were a child. It was your mother who had supported you, your brothers and sisters. She worked very hard to keep her head high. She never let you feel the absence of your father. She was both father and mother to you.

She was a saintly figure. She was kind and merciful. She stood by in the weal and woe of each and every one. Her godly qualities come upper in my mind. May the soul of dear mother rest in peace. May God give you strength enough to bear this big loss.

I mourn the death of the divine lady.

Sympathy and condoling once again.

Yours sincerely,

Yogesh
