It gives me heartiest pleasure and happiness to learn that you have been selected as an I.A.S. Officer. You top the list of all successful candidates of the year. It is a great honour which you have earned by dint of your hard work and strenuous endeavour. You are the promising son of your great parents. Your parent’s set-noble example by jumping into the struggle for freedom of our motherland. They lived and died for this great country of ours.
I extend my felicitations to you on your brilliant achievement. May God shower on you His choicest blessings! You may stride and reach the pinnacle (roof) of success. I congratulate you from the core of my heart.
Now you will be a district administrator. You must try to uproot bribery, corruption, black-marketing and smuggling. Your best services to the country will be to end these deep-rooted evils. They have eaten the very vitals of society. Organize plenty of raids and finish such evils at the earliest. Arrange many tours and reach every nook and corner of your area. Meet every poor man and listen patiently to the wrongs done to a hapless (luckless) fellow. Try to seek justice for him even if you have to forego your rest and comfort.
I hope you will rise to the occasion. Congratulating you once again.
