102.Short Story: Ornaments Tempt Thieves

A man and his wife going somewhere in a tonga………. woman were wearing heavy ornaments two……… villains.

Once a man and his wife were to go yd some far-off place. They were to attend a marriage party. The woman put on gaudy clothes and heavy golden ornaments. Their way lay through a jungle. Now they reached the stand. There they came to know that there was one bus that went to the place where the marriage was to take place. Therefore, they hired a tonga.

The tonga driver settled the money and made for the place. After a little time, two men stopped the tonga. They too wanted to utilize the services of the tonga. The man and his wife took pity upon them and allowed them to board it. The tonga started again.

The two men were villains of the first water. They were black at heart. They entered into a lively conversation with the man and his wife. Actually, it was the gold ornaments of the woman which had attracted the two ! knaves. They talked hither and thither. They beat about the bush. The couple took them for gentlemen. They were happy that they had a nice company. They least suspected that they were villains who kept an eye on the ornaments of the woman.

Soon a lonely place came. The two had a golden opportunity to rob the lady of her ornaments. They took out a long knife and frightened the couple. They relieved the woman of her ornaments. It was these ornaments which had caused this loss. The couple wept very bitterly. It spoiled their mood. They forgot everything. They wept the loss of their jewellery.

Moral: It is useless to waste money on jewellery. It attracts thieves. It tempts rogues and villains.
