Ans.                                                                       GLORY OF GOD

Gandhiji Denied Himself the Glory of God Salt was a costly thing those days. Its manufacture was in the hands of the government. Gandhiji wanted to lift the ban. So he started a disobedience movement against the Salt Law. He decided to start the private manufacture of salt. Thousands of men, women and even children took part in this civil disobedience movement. Gandhiji was camping in a small village of Karadi in a bamboo hut. One morning men and women came to Gandhiji’s hut. Women were leading the procession with a song. They had brou2ght fruits, flowers and bags of money to make an offering to Bapuji. Their head said, “Our village well was without water for many years. Your holy feet touched our soil and our well is full of water.” Gandhiji was not amused. He chided them, “You are fools. Beyond any doubt, it was an accident.” He told them that he had no more influence over God than they had. “Go back”, commanded the Mahatma, “and instead of thinking about such silly accidents, utilize your time in spinning and weaving.” If they did so, they would be serving Mother India in the real sense. Gandhiji always considered himself a common man. He always denied himself the glory of God.
