Rearrange the following words and phrases to form meaningful sentences. The first one has been done for you as an example.  

 (a) In the world / he / least / the / successful / perhaps / however / explorer / was

(b) on his / almost / he / spent / all / expeditions / his time / lost / permanently

(c)  one night / to return / was / a search party / when / sent out / failed / he

(d) as / approached / the party / him / they / were / Indians / Nuttal / assumed

Answers:

 (a) Perhaps he was however the least successful explorer in the world.

 (b) He almost lost permanently all his time spent on his expeditions.

 (c) One night when he failed to return a search party was sent out.

 (d) As the party approached him Nuttall assumed they were Indians.

Exercise-6

Rearrange the following words and phrases to form meaningful sentences.

(a) The minister told / the Nawab’s 1 Gopal about / demands / impossible

 (b) Then Gopal / asked the minister / to give him / this difficult task / and one year / a million rupees/ to finish / to request the Nawab

(c) Gopal promised / after one year / to the Nawab / himself / to go / with the results  

(d) he / wandered / the camp / into / accidentally / three days / finally / after               

Answers:-

(a) The minister told Gopal about the Nawab’s impossible demands.

(b) Then Gopal asked the minister to request the Nawab to give him a million rupees and one year to finish this difficult task.

 (c) Gopal promised to go to the Nawab himself with the results after one year.

(d) Finally, he wandered into the camp accidentally after three days.
